What racing challenges have you overcome?
About a month and a half before mountain bike nationals in Snowshoe, WV, I took a hard fall and couldn’t walk until 2 week before the championship race. I was super nervous leading up to it, and was not expecting a good result at all, but I ended up coming away with 2 third places at nationals.
What is your spirit animal?
My spirit animal is a wolf pup.
What is your guilty pleasure food?
Definitely peanut butter cups. I can eat those all day.
What is your advice for other riders?
Keep pushing on because you never know what you are capable of until you completely empty your tank.
What started you in cycling?
I started riding a bike as soon as I could walk, and I loved it. I loved mountain biking with my dad which got me into mountain bike racing when I was 10 years old. Then I started racing cyclocross and road when I was 13.
What is your favorite pro race to watch?
My favorite Pro race is Paris Roubaix. I like watching all the riders going at it with each other on the cobbles as they beat themselves up on very rough roads. It can be seen as a race of truth.
